Sports marketing agency Shamrock Sports and Entertainment has been appointed as the agency of record for next year?s Millrose Games.
The Portland-based agency, led by former Nascar and Fenway Sports Group executive Brian Corcoran, will work to establish corporate partnerships on behalf of the Games, which are set to take place at the New Balance Track and Field Centre at the Armory in New York on 11th February 2012.
Commenting on the event, Corcoran said: ?The Millrose Games are one of the premier track and field meets in the world. The intimate and historic atmosphere of the Armory, the fast, record-setting track, the promise of an Olympic preview and the bright lights of New York will generate a new level of excitement for the meet and will appeal to fans, athletes and sponsors alike.?
Executive director of the Armory Foundation and president of the Millrose Games Dr. Norbert Sander said: ?Shamrock offers the Armory and the Millrose Games the sales tools needed to establish mutually beneficial marketing alliances that are critical to the health and future of our meet. We are proud to collaborate with the Shamrock team and look forward to breaking new records together.?
